Located in the lively beach town of Nungwi, about 45 minutes from Melia Zanzibar, Coccobello promises a high-energy atmosphere, great music, and a chance to dance the night away under the tropical sky.
We’ve got your transport covered! A private coach will take us there and bring us back safely. Our dedicated driver will stay with us for the entire night to ensure your comfort and security. We'll wrap up around midnight, just enough time to soak in the fun without compromising our energy for the next day’s exciting Stone Town adventure.

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime official photoshoot on the beach at Melia Zanzibar, capturing the spirit, colour, and camaraderie of our unforgettable Tanzanian adventure.
We'll all be dressed in bright and bold Maasai attire and accessories, a stunning visual tribute to this extraordinary journey. This isn’t just another group photo, it’s a lasting memory you’ll treasure forever, reminding you of friendships forged on the safari trails and, for some, bonds that go back over 52 years to your very first day in Grade 1.
An official photographer will be on hand to capture:
- Solo portraits (for those who wish)
- Family and friends mini-group shots
- Our main group photo on the beach at 5:00 PM
- Bonus drone video footage of the full group in Maasai colours!

(7) JULY 18TH, 2025 - PRE-FLIGHT PIT STOP AT STONE TOWN
1:00 PM – Departure from Melia Zanzibar
- Group departs Melia for Stone Town (approx. 1 hr 15 mins journey)
- Private transfer arranged; luggage onboard
- Light briefing en route (highlighting Stone Town sights, timing)
2:15 PM – Arrival at Six Degrees South Restaurant (Stone Town) or the Beach House Restaurant & Bar

Hangout at Six Degrees South or at the Beach House (Stone Town)
Unwind with a refreshing drink at either the Six Degrees South or the Beach House, two of Stone Town’s most scenic oceanfront restaurants. Soak in the sea breeze, savour the view, and relive the unforgettable moments of your safari adventure. It’s the perfect place to share a few final laughs, toast to new friendships, and say your farewells before heading home..
Option B:
Souvenir Shopping & Light Exploring
- Take a guided stroll through the vibrant streets of Stone Town, exploring local markets and iconic shops like Forodhani, Gizenga Street, and Memories of Zanzibar. Discover unique treasures, from aromatic spices and handcrafted jewellery to colourful paintings and traditional Zanzibari crafts, perfect mementos to take home from your unforgettable journey.
4:00 PM – Half the Group Departs to Airport
- Guests with 7:00 PM flight say their goodbyes
- Dedicated transfer to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (approx. 15–20 mins)
- Expected arrival at airport latest by 4:30 PM
4:00 PM – Group departing for Victoria Falls on July 19th at 4.20AM will proceed to Blue Ocean Resort & Residences and those opting to return to Melia Zanzibar will be transported back at a cost of $12.

(9) EXTRA NIGHT STAY IN ZANZIBAR AT BLUE OCEAN RESORT & RESIDENCES
FOR TRAVELLERS HEADING TO VICTORIA FALLS ON JULY 19TH, 4:20 AM DEPARTURE
To make things smoother for those catching the early morning flight to Victoria Falls, we explored hotel options in and around Stone Town for a place to relax, shower, and rest before heading to the airport. Unfortunately, most budget-friendly options in Stone Town were too dated and run-down for our liking, especially after staying in more upscale hotels throughout the trip. Some that are half decent are sold out, July being peak season. On the flip side, the high-end hotels in Stone Town are pricey and not really worth it for a short 10-hour stay.
Melia Zanzibar’s lowest nightly rate is over $700, and late checkout (even for a fee) isn’t guaranteed, especially during peak season. Besides, Melia is located about 1hr and 15 minutes away from the airport. Given all that, it makes more sense to stay closer to the airport before our flight in the wee hours of the morning. That said, anyone checking out of Melia Zanzibar at 12pm in July 18th is welcome to stay back at the resort until your airport transfer. But for those flying to Victoria Falls, where we hit the ground running with activities upon arrival, getting proper rest before the flight is a smarter move.
Thanks to our tour operator, Coral Tours (recommended by Lion King Adventures), we found a great alternative, Blue Ocean Resorts & Residences. It's a brand-new property just 20–25 minutes from the airport and it’s modern, spacious, very clean, and includes a buffet dinner.
If you’re joining the July 18th “Pre-Flight Pit Stop at Stone Town” excursion (#7), you’ll be dropped off at Blue Ocean around 4:00 PM. Those wanting to spend more time in Stone Town can do so and head to the hotel later. Similarly those who wish to spend more time at Melia Zanzibar, skip Stone Town, and move into Blue Ocean Resorts and Residences later in the afternoon can do so as well.
