How to Book Your Extra Night Stay in Arusha on July 7th
Africa is a distant destination, and most of you will be taking at least two flights, crossing two or may be even three continents depending on your flight path, with potentially long layovers along the way. By the time you reach Tanzania, you'll likely feel exhausted, so it’s a good idea to arrive a day early. This extra time will help you recover from jet lag and provide a buffer for any unforeseen flight delays that might affect your safari schedule.
Our tour officially begins on July 8th, with guests expected to arrive in Kilimanjaro latest by early afternoon on July 8th and check into their hotel in Arusha. That afternoon, there will be a briefing with our guides from Lion King Adventures to go over our itinerary, covering key details of our tour, starting with a Kilimanjaro day hike on July 9th.
We’re delighted that most of you have chosen to arrive a day early on July 7th, and for those arriving early, we’ve arranged with Lion King Adventures to manage your additional night’s stay at either the Gran Melia or Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha, with a seamless stay so that you won’t need to check out and back in the next day. Lion King Adventures has reserved a select number of rooms at group rate, available only until November 10th or until the rooms in our group pool sell out, whichever happens first.
If you wish to reserve a room for July 7th, please complete the Booking Request Form below, only after you have read this web page in its entirety. Reservations require full payment to confirm, subject to the respective hotel’s cancellation policies provided below.
After November 10th, or when the rooms in our group pool are sold out, whichever occurs first, you will be required to reserve your room directly with the hotel through its online portal, subject to their best available rates at the time. When booking on your own directly with the hotel, please ensure you select the correct room category, as shown below, to maintain a seamless stay. Choosing a different room category from the one included in our tour package will require you to check out and check back in after your first night stay. If you do book directly, you can send your confirmation to Udish, provided you had picked the right room category, and Udish will share it with our tour operator to inform the hotel that you’re part of our group and to ensure that you stay in the same room throughout.
For the sake of seamless stay and savings, we recommend booking through Lion King Adventures, using the booking request form below. The hotel rooms will be reserved based on the order in which payments are received, rather than the order in which the booking requests are submitted.
If you booked the Luxury Plus tour package but have chosen to stay at the Mount Meru Hotel, which is part of the Luxury package, for your extra night on July 7th, please note that the transfer from Mount Meru Hotel to Gran Meliá Hotel will be at your own expense and responsibility. The two hotels are located nearby, and you can easily take a taxi.
We will collect your incoming flight details at least 4-6 weeks before your arrival in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania to arrange for your airport to hotel transfer.

For a family of three, you have the option to book two rooms, or alternatively, stay your first night on July 7th at the Mount Meru Hotel and transfer to Gran Melia the following day. On July 8th and 9th, you are booked into two rooms as part of your tour package.

Cancellations must be advised in writing and proof of acknowledgement by the Hotel should be retained.
The following charges apply to all confirmed reservations made by the Agent:
Peak & High Season cancellation policy:
* For bookings cancelled or reduced in numbers between 30 and 22 days from the date of arrival, 50% of the full stay will be charged.
* For bookings cancelled or reduced in numbers between 21 and 07 days from the date of arrival, 75% of the full stay will be charged.
* For bookings cancelled or reduced in numbers between 06 and 0 days from the date of arrival, 100% of the full stay will be charged.

MOUNT MERU HOTEL CANCELLATION & NO SHOW POLICY
All cancellations must be received by Mount Meru in writing and must be reconfirmed by the hotel in writing.
* Cancellations made 30 (thirty) days or more before arrival - 0% penalty.
* Cancellations made within 29 (twenty-nine) to 15 (fifteen) days before arrival - 25% penalty.
* Cancellations made within 14 (fourteen) to 7 (seven) days before arrival - 50% penalty.
* Cancellations made within 7 (seven) day before arrival or No-Show - 100% penalty.
* Penalties and/or No-Show, will be charged on the value booked and confirmed of the entire stay including any government taxes or levies.
Follow this 3-step Booking Protocol to Reserve Your Room
1. Please fill out and submit the Booking Request Form using the link provided below. If you don’t receive an email copy of your submission within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder for an email from Jotform and move it to your inbox if needed.
2. To secure your room, full payment is required by Lion King Adventures. Choose from one of the payment methods listed below, and once you’ve made the payment, please inform Udish, the tour organizer, via email. Include the payment method, amount, and ideally a screenshot of the payment confirmation. Udish will then promptly notify the Lion King Adventures Tour Consultants, allowing them to monitor for your payment and proceed with your reservation as soon as it is received.
Please note: If you receive any payment instructions that differ from those listed below, do not proceed. Instead, contact Udish, the safari tour organizer, for clarification.
3. Once your payment is received, Lion King Adventures will confirm your hotel reservation and send you a payment receipt via email.

Postcodes: In order to make an international money transfer, most banks ask for Lion King‘s physical address, including a Post Code. Tanzania does not have Post Codes or ZIP codes. Very few roads have names and buildings rarely have numbers. The above Physical Address should be enough for the money transfer and please use 23211 as the Post Code if required,

Important information about wise.com payments:
The Lion King bank account is a US dollar account (not Tanzanian Shillings). Therefore, the payment must be made in US Dollars. How can I make payment if I am from the USA?

I need to make a payment to King Kidaisho Ltd, which is a Tour Operator based in Tanzania. Their bank account is a US Dollar account, and does not accept the local currency which is Tanzanian Shillings. When trying to set up the payment, I am not given the option of paying in US Dollars. I understand that I will need to make the payment via the SWIFT payment network. Please advise next steps.
FRAUD PREVENTION ALERT!
If you choose to pay by bank transfer, the above details are the only information you should use. Lion King Adventures will never contact you and ask you to pay the money into a different account. Lion King will never ask you to pay the money into an account in a different country. Lion King only has a bank account in Tanzania. They are aware of a number of scams where clients are contacted and asked to transfer money into a different account for different reasons. If you ever receive an email that appears to be from Lion King asking you to pay into a different account, please alert them or Udish immediately and do not make any payment. The most secure way of alerting them is to call the main Lion King (WhatsApp) telephone number listed on their website.
